everyone to review last month’s minutes and they were approved. In order
to try to save paper we will only be providing a few number of paper
copies of the minutes at the meeting. Minutes are emailed after each
meeting. |

remain in their respective offices for the 2009 year. |

Maternal and Family Health Services for hosting our first Holiday
gathering! It was a huge success! |

 | 2009 Membership
Dues are now due. Dues are $10.00 per agency. |
 | We had discussion
for another Spring Event. Last year we had the event at the Holiday Inn
in Wilkes-Barre and it was a lunch. This year we feel that a breakfast
may be better attended. If anyone is interested in being on the
committee for the Spring Event there will be a meeting on Tuesday,
February 10th at 9:00am at the Salvation Army in
Wilkes-Barre. |

C.A.S.U.A.L. (Colon
Cancer Awareness Saves Unlimited Adult Lives)-
is a program to raise awareness about
colon cancer and the importance of screening and early detection, as well
as raise funds and awareness for the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute.
C.A.S.U.A.L Day is March 26. Dress Casual for $5.00 or $15.00 to be
donated to the Cancer Institute. For more information on how your
organization can get involved call Scranton office at 941-7984 or
Wilkes-Barre at 970-6543 or visit their website at
www.cancernepa.org.

Lupus Foundation of
Pennsylvania Pocono/Northeast Brach Resource Center for Autoimmune
Diseases offers free workshops in February, March, April and May.

Shriners Orthopedic
Screening Clinics at
Wilkes-General Hospital are free to children up to age 18 for those who
have orthopedic problems. Times and dates vary please call for an
appointment at 1-800-281-4050 ext. 4140.

The American Cancer
Society’s Daffodil Days are
March 16-22, 2009. For more information on your area (Hazleton or
Wilkes-Barre) please contact the American Cancer Society. (Hazleton orders
are taken until February 23 at 459-1248 and the telethon is on Feb. 21st
at the Laurel Mall).
